Tell us 1 or 2 specific things that you have benefited from being in your circle

My GGW lean in circle has taught me to trust myself. I leaned on them during the pandemic when everyone questioned where we want to be in this world. They coached me through job changes and negotiations. They have reminded me of my strengths when I was challenged to see them. I love that we now find time to give back to local organizations together, learn together and laugh together.

What is the biggest obstacle in your career that you were able to overcome?

Early in my career I believed hard work alone is enough. Luckily, I realized if you want career growth you can't wait to be noticed, wait to be asked or wait to be invited to the table. You need to step up. You need to ask to take on stretch assignments and sometime work in a space where success is not guaranteed. Being uncomfortable is okay.

If someone was on the fence about joining a Lean In circle, based on your own experience, what would you tell them?

You will be surprised about the benefits you didn't even think about. Personal growth, confidence building and new friends.

What is something most people don't know about you?

I don't like chocolate. I'll take strawberry or vanilla any day!
